Get Out: Intro to Outdoor Climbing

A full day introduction to outdoor rock climbing. If you have never climbed or if you have indoor experience only, learn what it takes to get up big rock-all done on the cliff. All the basic skills are covered, from knots, to gear, to climbing techniques, to rappelling. Learning while you climb.

Family Outdoor Intro Course

When children first start climbing, they have fun! Designed for families with children under 14, this course offers, the basic skills for children to have fun and enjoy their climbing experience.

It's a Hard World After All: Intermediate to Advanced Rock Climbing

Now you have experience and you want to get better. We can take the skills you already have and build upon them. Our experienced staff can teach you technical rope skills, technique, and help you to increase your vertical mileage.

Top-rope Set Up and Management

This course will teach you to set up basic top-ropes so you and a partner can be climbing on your own. Anchors, edge management, rappelling with back-ups, and belay back-ups will all be covered. From the approach to the walk out we will help prepare you to climb on your own. Excellent for scout leaders, camp workers and others who are interested in furthering their knowledge of outdoor climbing. A certificate will be awarded to those who complete the course.

I Got the Bug: Learn to Lead

So now you want more, you want to lead. This course will start you on the way to being the one in front. Whether it's sport or trad, you will start to build the skills you need to be on the sharp end-protection, route-finding, leader falls. It's all part of the game. Learn the best way into the world of being “on the lead.”

Now What?: Improvised Self-Rescue

You're out on your own four hundred feet off the deck and your partner dislocated their shoulder, now what? Learn the skills to get both of you quickly and safely to the ground. Escape the belay, ascend or descend to your partner, set up a haul system, a lower, or a rappel with your partner on your back.

Space is limited in these courses. All courses must be pre-paid in full to reserve a space. We require a minimum of 7 days to cancel or re-schedule. No refunds will be given inside of 7 days prior to the course. BRG and it's guides may cancel or re-schedule due to weather. Refunds will be issued in the event of poor weather.
