Black Friday Kid's Camp


Let us help you with your holiday shopping! We are running a Black Friday Kid's Camp with both half day and full day options. We will have a fun filled day of climbing, games and crafts. 


Half Day: 9 am - 12 pm or 1 pm - 4 pm. 

Full Day: 9 am - 4 pm

Campers should bring a snack for half day camp or multiple snacks and lunch if your kid's will be spending the whole day with us.


Half Day:

  • Members- $40
  • Non-members- $45

Full Day:

  • Members- $65
  • Non-members- $70

Join us Friday, October 7th at 7pm for a showing of REEL ROCK 11

REELROCK is poised once again to deliver a new slate of the year's best climbing films. From remote Arctic big walls to the youth movement resetting the standards, REELROCK 11 follows the stories and climbs that define the cutting edge of rock climbing

-Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online or at the door. 

-We will have chairs set up but please feel free to bring your own chair, crash pad, blanket, etc. 

-We will be serving popcorn and beverages at the showing.

-There will be no climbing in the gym after 6:30 pm 

BRG Halloween 2016


We can't get enough of Halloween..

So we are having two Halloween events! 


BRG Halloween party! 

Wednesday, October 26th is our annual Halloween costume party and potluck. Wear your spookiest costume for our costume contest, bring your favorite fall dish, and party with the BRG Family! The party starts at 7pm! 


Trick or Treat Kid's Climb! 

Join us for a special Kid's Climb in celebration of Halloween on Saturday, October 29th! Will you get a trick or a treat? This event is very popular so book your spot today and don't forget your costume! Kid's climb is by appointment only and is for ages 5+

Group Strength and Conditioning


Starting September 12th, join us Monday evenings from 7 pm - 8 pm for group strength and conditioning with Dan Kopcso! 

Our weekly group sessions will focus core strength, grip strength, and general strength to help promote growth in your climbing. Additional topics covered include mobility, injury prevention, and tissue work.

Sign up in advance or drop-in. Each session is $10! 

Minimum Age: 16 years old.

SPECIAL: Our first two weeks for Monday the 12th and 19th will be free! Book online in advance! 

About Dan: Not only is Dan a long time member of the BRG family, he also serves as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and Fitness center Director for Tuft's University. 


USA Climbing Bouldering Competition 2016

usac color iconThe Boston Rock Gym is proud to be hosting a youth bouldering competition with USA Climbing on Saturday, September 24th. USA Climbing membership information can be found at

NOTICE: In order to check-in for the competition, the participant MUST BE a current USA Climbing member OR have purchased a USA Climbing 24hr member pass for an additional $10 at (MUST be purchased in the 24hr window before the competition.)

April Vacation Kid's Climbs

Looking for a fun activity to keep your kid’s active during their April break? Our kid’s climb program is the perfect solution! Drop your children off at the gym for a two-hour session with our instructors and pick them up when the session is complete.

Due to a high demand for our Kid’s Climb during break, we will offer multiple sessions starting on Monday, April 18th and through Friday April 22nd:

  • 1 PM - 3 PM
  • 3:30 PM -5:30 PM

Book two continous sessions for your child and we will entertain them with games and crafts during the 30 minute break between sessions.  Even better, send them with a snack so they can fuel up for round 2.  Save $5 per participant when booking 2 consecutive sessions - call or stop by the gym to take advantage of this offer.

Please note that kid’s climbs should be booked at least 24 hours in advance to ensure you child has a spot in the class.

 We will also have extended opening hours during vacation week and will be open Monday - Friday from 10 AM - 10 PM. 

Community Comp Top Rope Competition

It's back! The Community Comp returns Wednesday, May 4th from 7 pm - 10 pm for an 18+ top roping competition designed for ALL levels. The Community Comp is all about friendly, light-hearted competition promoting encouragement and camaraderie! Basically, we are trying to get everyone in the community that we love together for a great time! 


$10 entry fee. All proceeds will benefit Phoenix Multisport

On A Limb


Join us this April and May for Mobility and Movement Clinics with BRG member and founder of On A Limb, Amanda Patti. 

Amanda is a Holistic Movement & Wellness Coach specializing in working with people who are in pain, injured, confused as to what to do next, and want to get back into being able to move their bodies with freedom and joy. Her approach combines techniques and applications from many modalities, lending to her unique, integrative method of approaching the body and each individual’s concerns as a system of systems.


APRIL 20th


Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned climber, preventing and appropriately rehabbing climbing related injuries is a big concern. Building a foundation in the lower body will help provide the stability you need in order to move in an integrated way on the rock without over-compensating with the upper body.

In this workshop, you will learn and be exposed to mobility, flexibility, strengthening, & soft tissue work tips and tools to actively develop:

  •   Strong, supple ankles that can handle a roll, toe and heel hooks, as well as long crack climbs
  •   Fluid, supple feet that recover well from being stuffed in climbing shoes
  •   Knees that can safely move and support your body in a variety of movements
  •   Balance and strength within the musculature around the knee to rehab and/or prevent tears
  •   Flexible and strong hamstrings that are less likely to tear or pull
  •   Hips that allow for a wide range of motion and support you to move fluidly over your feet
  •   Restoration of glute function from cases of glute amnesia
  •   A functional core that supports the body and helps to reduce low back pain
  •   Ways to begin to balance and activate the core that provides a platform for the distribution of forces from the feet through the hands and vice versa


MAY 19th


Part 2 of our Mobility and Injury Prevention series! Some of the most common climbing injuries are related to the fingers, elbows, and shoulders.

During this workshop, you will be exposed to and learn mobility, flexibility, strengthening, & soft tissue work tips and tools to actively develop:

  • Fingers that can take a licking and keep on ticking
  • Tendons and ligaments that are strong, yet flexible and less likely to tear
  • Mobile (strong & flexible) fingers and wrists
  • Activated, functional lats to take pressure off of the elbows
  • Balanced shoulder stability and mobility to reduce SLAP tears, dislocations, and tendonitis
  • Core movements that integrate the various functional patterns between the lower and upper body so you can move more efficiently during your climbs


MAY 11th


Come with your niggling injuries, your movement concerns, your broken, tired, and/or weary body and she will work with you 1:1 during this first come, first serve Movement Clinic to help you develop a movement and wellness plan that will:

  • Integrate strength, flexibility, mobility, and soft tissue exercises
  • Help resolve acute and/or chronic injuries
  • Help prevent future injuries
  • Increase your performance
  • Get you on your way towards developing and nurturing a fantastic climbing season ready body
